How to Transfer Funds

Moving money in and out of your Wallet is easy – simply navigate to your Wallet, and select Add Funds or Withdraw from the top of the screen. Note that even if you already have bank accounts connected to your Ledger, you’ll need to reconnect them to your Wallet separately to enable transferring funds.

The first time you add funds, you will need to connect a financial account via the “Select Source” dropdown.

Click on this dropdown and select Connect new account.

  1. You will see a note about how Ambrook uses Plaid to connect to your accounts. Click “Continue” to accept the Plaid Privacy Policy and move forward.

  2. The “Enter your phone number” screen is optional. Click “Maybe later” to bypass.

  3. On the next screen, you will see two options. Instant connection is only available for some financial institutions. Manual is supported by all financial institutions. It’s worth attempting to go through the “Instant” flow, as it requires fewer steps.

    1. Select Instant, and search for your bank. Many bank names are similar, so check that the URL displayed in Plaid is the same one you use to access your bank online. If you cannot find it, select “Link with account numbers” at the bottom of the screen and you will be taken to the Manual flow.

    2. Follow instructions to enter your credentials. This process will vary from institution to institution. If you encounter an error, double check that you are inputting the correct information, and that your caps lock isn’t on. You can exit the process and try again, or reach out to our team for further support.

  4. If you end up using the Manual option, you will need to complete a Micro-deposits flow to verify you own the account. Enter your routing and account numbers, and follow the subsequent instructions. Learn more about how Micro-deposits work here.

  5. Once you’ve successfully connected an account, you can initiate a transfer immediately. Feel free to connect multiple accounts to the form if you may want to move funds in and out of different places.

Transfer Timelines

Funds will be available for use on the same day or the next business day, depending on when the transfer was initiated. This applies to funding your Wallet from an external account, transferring funds out of Wallet to an external account, and paying your vendors via ACH. To help you plan your cash flows, here are more details on payment timelines:

  • If the transfer is requested before 11am CT / noon ET on a business day, the funds will arrive in the Wallet that same day.

  • If the transfer is requested after 11am CT / noon ET on a business day, the funds will arrive in the Wallet on the next business day by end of day.

  • If the transfer is requested on a weekend or bank holiday, the funds will arrive in the Wallet on the next business day by end of day.
