How to record manual transactions on Ambrook

Though Ambrook connects to bank accounts, sometimes a small number of transactions may be missing from the data. You are likely to notice this while reconciling an account. Additionally, you can choose to not connect an account at all and record all activity on the account manually. In either case Ambrook supports manually creating individual transactions

  • From the Ledger, select the "New" button and then "Transaction" to create an individual entry.

  • Next, enter the transaction details which include:

    • The account you will be recording to

    • The date you want the transaction to occur on

    • A description for the transaction

    • The tags you want on the transaction.

    • Optional - you can also upload a receipt to any transaction while creating it.

  • Once you are done, click the "Record" button to put the transaction on your Ledger.

You can do this for any kind of transaction, but one case where this is particularly useful is entering cash transactions.
