There are a number of national and state programs that will provide funding to agricultural operations who have experienced losses due to natural disasters such as extreme weather, wildfires, or disease. The USDA has a disaster recovery and prevention tool that will determine what national programs are available to you given the type of disaster. Start with this tool if you are not sure what program you qualify for.
If you have experienced such a loss, you should apply for relief funding as soon as possible. Most of these programs require that you report your loss within a limited timeframe—usually 30-90 days.
Ambrook also maintains a list of disaster relief programs in our Funding Library.
