Fencing is an extremely common need among our users and among agricultural operations generally. While operating loans are available for all kinds of capital improvements (including fencing), there are a few programs that may be able to help fund your fencing project specifically:
The NRCS' EQIP program will sometimes provide a cost-share for fencing that protects environmentally sensitive areas of your land from livestock or in service of a sustainable grazing management system (AKA movable pens).
The Livestock Conservancy Heritage Livestock Microgrant Program will provide funds that can be used for fencing if your operation raises a species on their Conservation Priority List.
